Inspiring Learning Conference

The Inspiring Learning Conference aims to bring together educators across China and beyond for research-based professional learning programmes designed to have impact in your classrooms and schools. The four themes that run through the conference provide opportunities exploring inspiring learning through leadership, pedagogy and practice, developing independence and the teaching of maths.

Dr Ahmed Hussain leads the Institute of Learning in addition to working across the Wellington College China group and beyond. Ahmed took up a number of senior leadership positions in schools in the UK and Dubai along with working in the education reform.

Iain Henderson

Deputy Head (Educational Developments and Partnerships)
Wellington College

Iain is Deputy Head (Educational Developments and Partnerships) at Wellington College. One of his current responsibilities is to build and embed a coaching culture both at Wellington and across the Wellington family of schools, to enable the greatest positive impact for students and staff alike.

His presentation “Bear’s paw and fish: A gently biased comparison between Chinese and Western Education” had been viewed online for more than 10,000,000 times. Terry has published 4 books in the past two years and he raised 135,000 US$ by selling his books on line, ranking No.1 on a crowd-funding website.

Stuart Kime

Director of Education
Evidence-based Education

Stuart is the Director of Education in Evidence-based Education. He is an Honorary Professor in the School of Education at Durham University. Stuart formerly held a Policy Fellow post in the UK Government’s Department for Education.
