As changes are being made and implemented across the Early Years Foundation Stage in the UK, these sessions will bring this important information to International and Bilingual schools.
The session will share policy and practice on the proposed Baseline Assessment for the Reception age phase and the implications on teacher`s workload, statutory assessment in KS1 and future ways of accountability in the Early Years. The possible impact on International and Bilingual schools will be discussed with relation to parent expectation, reporting to Senior Leadership teams of through schools and how English as second language learners should be assessed. The session will include examples of innovative assessment practice in Early Years practice from our International and Bilingual schools.
As a response to the Primary Assessment review, the newly revised Early Learning Goals will also be presented and discussed. Attendees will be able to consider the implications on the delivery of the curriculum and how any changes might be made to the wider team and routines of the day.
